- 4 apples, peeled and sliced
- 500 grams quark
- 200 grams sugar
- 200 grams flour
- 100 grams butter, melted
- 3 eggs
- 1 package baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix quark, sugar, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the quark mixture.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Layer the sliced apples over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the apples.
- For the crumble, mix butter, flour, sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly, then sprinkle over the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the crumble.
- This cake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
