- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, flour, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, mix blueberries, cream cheese, and vanilla extract.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the surface.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut it into slices.
- Place slices in a greased pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh blueberries.
- You can substitute frozen blueberries, but reduce baking time slightly.
