- 200 grams dates
- 100 grams ground almonds
- 100 grams dark chocolate
- 50 grams butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Soak the dates in warm water for 10 minutes and then blend until smooth.
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together.
- In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, vanilla extract, and the date puree.
- Add melted chocolate mixture, ground almonds, cocoa powder, and baking powder to the bowl and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a nut-free version, replace ground almonds with oat flour.
- Storing in an airtight container keeps them fresh for longer.
