- 4 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 200g goat cheese
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add sliced pears.
- Cook for about 5 minutes until pears are soft, then add honey and thyme.
- Season with salt and pepper and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until caramelized.
- Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven until golden.
- Top each slice with a portion of goat cheese and then add the caramelized pears on top.
- Return to the oven for another 5 minutes until the cheese is slightly melted.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add walnuts or a drizzle of balsamic reduction on top.
- These crostini are best served immediately but can be prepared in advance and assembled just before serving.
