- 3 pounds beef brisket
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 12 corn tortillas
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 lime (cut into wedges)
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
- Place the brisket in a roasting pan and add the beef broth.
- Cover the pan with foil and roast for 4-5 hours, until the brisket is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
- Warm the corn tortillas on a skillet over medium heat.
- Serve the sliced brisket in tortillas with diced onion, cilantro, and lime wedges.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the brisket overnight with spices.
- Leftover brisket can be used in sandwiches or salads.
